This year marks the 10 anniversary of PromiseShip. Over the years, we’ve accomplished many feats. However, 2018 shines bright as a year to remember. With the help of our board members, community, donors, staff and other supports were were able to reach many amazing milestones last year. Here are a few to highlight:
We launched our new PromiseShip name & brand
In January, we launched our new name and brand. PromiseShip, the new Nebraska Families Collaborative, better speaks to the hope and possibilities we bring to children and their families, and aligns with our vision for the future.
We opened a new office in Sarpy County
Since we serve families in both Douglas and Sarpy counties, we opened a location in Bellevue to allow our staff to have a presence in the community to better connect families with resources in the area in which they live.
We partnered with Bellevue University to launch a tuition assistance program for staff
Investing in our employees is an important focus at PromiseShip. In 2018, we launched our Bellevue University Tuition Assistance Program which enables us to help our staff reach their career goals and improve our organizations workforce and retention efforts.
We were the recipient of the BBB 2018 Silver Award of Distinction for Significant Commitment to Ethical Business Practices
We received the Silver Award of Distinction from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for our focus and demonstration of ethical business practices with key stakeholders including customers, employees and the community.
We celebrated the 5-year anniversary of Duffels 4 Dignity
Duffels 4 Dignity provides youth entering the foster care system with a new duffel bag to carry their personal belongings with pride and dignity. Since 2013, the program has distributed over 3,400 duffels bags to youth thanks to caring donors like you.
