PromiseShip is dedicated to delivering services that strictly conform to the highest standards of accountability for all staff members.
The agency’s leadership is fully committed to the need to prevent and detect misconduct. PromiseShip has a formal corporate compliance program in place to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met or exceeded. The compliance program emphasizes:
- Prevention of wrongdoing, whether intentional or unintentional;
- Immediate reporting and investigation of questionable activities and practices, with no consequences to the person reporting those activities and practices;
- Timely correction of any situation which puts any stakeholder at risk.
Periodic reviews of PromiseShip activities are conducted by experts outside of the organization to ensure ongoing conformance with sound and ethical practices in both service delivery and financial matters.
PromiseShip is an organization with strong values of responsibility and integrity. Our Code of Ethics contains general guidelines for providing services and conducting business with the highest standards of ethics. We are committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception.
Reporting & Complaints
A grievance is a written report that you submit to PromiseShip expressing a complaint. Anyone can file a grievance, including youth, family members, PromiseShip network providers or any other stakeholder (person, agency, group or organization that has an interest in Nebraska youth and their families).
While all PromiseShip staff members work hard to avoid conflict and offense when supporting children and families, there are times when children or families may have complaints about the support they receive. PromiseShip requests that you first discuss your complaint with the PromiseShip staff member who offended you and/or his supervisor. If you still feel your complaint has not been resolved after taking that step, you may file an official grievance with PromiseShip.
